Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that is colorless. Plaque is constantly forming on your teeth as well as along your gum line. Tartar is plaque that has not been removed from the teeth and gum line that has hardened over time. This calcified plaque will attach itself to the enamel on your teeth and it will also attach itself below your gum line.
